Now, I would love, love, love to go as Betty Draper or Jackie Kennedy but feel those might be better with my own Don Draper or Jack Kennedy. So, now I am considering these three. As you can tell, I am leaning towards the 50's era but am also taking suggestions. I don't want to spend a lot of money and - for goodness sakes - nothing too revealing! What do you think? Any other suggestions?

I hate that every costume is "slutty." I don't want to look like that! But I love the Marilyn Monroe dress you have here-very classy and super cute!

The costumes here on island are very limited and I swear, they only get the Rated X ones on purpose! I had issues finding one and I'm still not super pleased with the revealing nature of the one I got.
I did this a few years ago when I still lived in DC -- I wore an old prom/sorority formal gown, bought long gloves and a tiara, and made a sash that said Miss Demeanor. You can do Miss Behave, etc, and you're a beauty queen. I have never been one for the slutty or revealing costumes either, but you'll still look fabulous

I went to look the other day and also thought they all were too slutty. I ended up with a flapper costume! So cute and the normal length of dresses I wear. It even came with gloves and feather headpiece. I like the Lucy one also!

I agree, I am really amazed at all the slutty costumes I see on such pretty women. I haven't dressed up in years for this reason. I love the idea of a 50s costume, such a classy era. Marilyn is precious and not slutty at all.
