Manners anyone?

Is there anything I hate more than a person who is CONSTANTLY on their cell phone? NO.

I think it is incredibly rude to be yapping away on your cell phone while someone is cutting your hair or doing your nails. The worst offender I ever witnessed was a woman (probably in her mid 30's, i.e. old enough to know better) who literally talked to the same person on her cell phone during her entire pedicure AND manicure. Imagine this poor manicurist trying to do her nails while she shifts her phone from hand to hand. It was ridiculous and SO rude! And guess what? The other people in the salon do not need to hear your conversation! Another cell phone faux pas, a friend who answers his or her phone while you're with them and proceeds to talk for an extended period of time. I think anyone who gets a cell phone should have to attend and complete a cell phone etiquette class - is that over-the-top?

A wise lady once told me that manners will take you where money won't! Very true but I do like my cell phone :-)

It's one of my pet peeves too. The hubs phone is banned from dinner. He's addicted!

I hate it when people do that! I have a friend who used to do it to me constantly! We would be out to dinner, her phone would ring, she'd answer without telling the person she was at dinner with someone else, and proceed to have a 15 minute conversation.

And let's not forget this was before we ordered, so the server would keep bypassing our table!

So rude!

I feel the same way about texting. We went to dinner with friends the other day and the wife was in contant communication with her daughter who was babysitting and bored.

Not over-the-top at all! I agree 100%. I think that people that constantly talk on their cell phones in public should be ashamed of themselves. I've seen people answer in the nail salon and talk for a few minutes, but not the entire time. That is downright rude!

At workplace, I have a neighbour who thinks burps are very flattery. He burps aloud over a dozen times in a day. With no sorry, no excuse me following his sounds. I am simply disgusted. To the core. I can’t think of any way of letting him know he is not acting civilized. A few times I scream out a “Yucccckkk” but guess what, it goes unheard. Because the fellow obviously thinks what he doing is so human and hence totally acceptable. I doubt he knows how to even spell “manners”.
