Baby Names!

One of my BFFs is having a baby boy in October and she has asked for the help of me and all of my preppy blogging friends. She has already settled on an adorable name, James McGee Horton IV, but is unsure about what the baby's everyday name should be....

Mac?
James?
McGee?

What do you think? Any other suggestions? Let me know - we want your feedback!

Mac for sure.

I vote for James - especially since the Dad is called Mac. I think it's important for kids to have a different name/identity from their parents. Of course, that doesn't mean he can't be called Jimmy as a young boy, since most guys would automatically revert to James as they grew up anyway.

I absolutely love the name James because of how old and classic it is. He could be called JM for his initials and that could morph into Jamie...

I love the name James and think it's a distinguished, classic name. However, my grandfather's name was James and he went by Jake, which I absolutely love, as well.

I'm not a fan of 'Jimmy' but James is handsome for a boy & very nice for a man. I think his friends should one day choose his nickname. Maybe it will relate to his last name or something?? If the dad is called Mac, that name is out. You never know what names will unfold on their own.

My son is Elliott & his nickname ended up being "B". We never saw THAT one coming. I wanted my daughter to be called "Izzie" but, once she was born & grew, it did not fit at all. She was not a nickname person. Don't monogram anything with a nickname! That's my advice! ;)
